LACQUER

Terms of Use

Last updated 5 October 2026

1. Who we are

LACQUER is made and offered by Elias Grootveld, the Netherlands. Contact: support@lacquerplayer.com.

2. Licence

Your use of LACQUER from the Mac App Store is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add to it and never limit your rights under it or under the law. You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute the app, or decompile it except where the law allows.

3. Free and Pro

LACQUER is free to use. LACQUER Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the features marked Pro. It is sold and delivered by Apple and works on every Mac you use with the same Apple Account.

4. Purchase and refunds

Apple handles payment, delivery and refunds of LACQUER Pro under the App Store’s terms (reportaproblem.apple.com). Your statutory rights as a consumer, including those for faulty digital content, are not affected.

5. Your music

You are responsible for having the right to play and process the files you open. Exported files are for your personal use.

6. Analysis results

File checks (pre-emphasis, source format, lossy origin, dynamics, release lookups) are based on metadata, measurement and public databases. Where the app says “possible” or “probable”, it is a hint, not a certainty. Decisions about your files remain yours.

7. Warranty and liability

LACQUER is provided with care. Our liability is limited to what the law allows; this never excludes liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer. Always keep backups of your music.

8. Changes

We may update the app and these terms. Material changes are announced in the app.

9. Law

Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, without prejudice to the protection the law of your country of residence gives you as a consumer.
